Introduction to TV.

TV refers to television. This invention has brought changes in the world of technology even if there are numerous types of technologies available in market today. This invention has basically offered the entertainment industry to our life as human beings and also the medium of communication including mass media as target. At present, TV is known as one of the best communication media channel. Furthermore today, only very few people, perhaps those in the middle of the jungles, have not watched TV shows because it is known that every person watches television shows and programs.

Television has an electronic apparatus and parts that are helpful to show pictures and videos. This electronic device comes from the combination of latin and greek. It was in 1930 when television available in the market. Back then, television was limited in terms of production and in fact it was not available for home use. Soon after the development of TV which was very progressive, it became very popular that in 1970’s most of the households have availed of a television set with the aid of tape recorders and VCR. Television not only gave entertainment to people but also the opportunity for people to watch Hollywood including its films.

Construction of TV.

Television started from a simple beginning with a monitor or screen that displays pictures. It is very powerful that it is able to release the videos and pictures in the air in different presentation. Moreover, its system can transmit various programs in many forms and presentation. At present, television has made countless changes and improvements like making attachment and link like cable wire your tv set with a computer and made to show and broadcast different programs from different channels. It is also known that cable television registered on different channels can broadcast it.

TV offers countless benefits

The birth of television has made countless changes and offers huge benefits to human beings. One of the good things that TV has brought to man is building a limitless connection with the rest of the world. It is as simple as sitting down in front of a big box called television set and in a matter of few seconds or minutes, you will know all the events in the world. Another benefit television gives to man is reducing the distance between countries and people. It is making the world smaller everyday. The shows aired on television not only provide entertainment to people but most importantly offer information, knowledge and sustain our need of food for the mind. A strategy in television broadcast media that is worth noting is the trimming down of the channels based on their functions. For example if you are watching a particular channel with entertainment, news and support or back up channels like star channels which include sports channels (star sports, star plus, star news and many others) you will notice that there is a cut down of channels. Television has in fact invaded the world of the kids as they are very entertained by just watching cartoon shows and other shows for the children. People have developed social awareness about different issues around the world as being broadcasted by television programs and shows. The listings of TV programs and shows are made available to people in the daily newspapers which help the viewing public choose their own choice of programs and shows according to their convenience.

Disadvantage of TV

However, as this electronic device continues to expand and conquer most of our world, there is no doubt of ill effects of media especially to young people. The different shows and programs have somehow created a world of fantasy among young people. Programs with social awareness and shows with sensitive themes have created negative impact to people especially made the minds of people more critical. Children are not properly guided on the ill effects of TV shows to them and are left on their own watching adults films and videos which led them to commit immoralities. More often than not, television, as a very influential medium, has made people fought maybe peacefully but forcibly. It is a fact that the coming of television to our world has good effects but it is also a reality that there is a need to set boundaries on the use of it. Television stations and networks can also take initiatives to prevent some untoward incidents caused by some tv programs and shows. TV sets are available in the market in many different shapes and forms: flat panel tv and FUSE TV.
